The Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole  is located on the A591 road between Windermere and Ambleside and is open to the public (except in Winter).Apart from the building which houses displays and exhibitions there are gardens which extend down to the lake.

The Authority organizes various events and issues an annual "Events" guide. Monthly events bulletins are available on request.

Part of the Lake District National Park Authority Education Service brief is to answer all student enquiries to the Lake District National Park Authority within 5 working days. On average more than 1500 enquiries are received per year with 99.8% answered within the target period.

Students requiring information not available from the website should email us at learning@lake-district.gov.uk or send an A4 size, self-addressed envelope with 3 first class stamps and a letter telling us what level you are studying and the information you would like.
